Introducing a new baby to siblings

In this episode Claire and Becks cover: 

  • Bump to baby – this is a HUGE concept and one which little ones can find very hard to comprehend! They discuss how to help them with this concept and what to do around a child who doesn’t show much interest at all! 
  • The questions around bringing a new baby home when you have other little people to consider – should you buy a present from baby? What do you do about the baby’s room? How far in advance do you need to make changes before baby arrives? And more! 
  • What happens on the actual day – who is looking after your other children and what happens when they come in to see you in hospital? And how about a home birth? 
  • Visitors and how to make sure they help (and not hinder) the whole process! 
  • Finally, they talk about how sibling children may experience jealousy and the fear of missing out when a new baby arrives and what you can do to help them.
